1. Acceptance
By placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not order.
2. Nature of the products
All materials supplied are reference materials and reagents for in-vitro laboratory research only.
They are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or dietary supplements. They have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or by any other regulatory authority. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and they are not intended for administration to humans or to animals.
No information published by us — including compound monographs, comparisons, journal articles and Certificates of Analysis — constitutes medical, veterinary or clinical advice, or a recommendation for any use.
3. Purchaser certification
By placing an order you certify that:
- You are at least 21 years of age
- You are a qualified researcher, or purchasing on behalf of a research institution or commercial laboratory
- You will use the materials solely for laboratory research
- You will not administer them to humans or animals, or resupply them for that purpose
- You will handle, store, transport and dispose of them in accordance with applicable law and good laboratory practice
- You are solely responsible for determining the suitability of any material for your intended laboratory application
4. Analytical documentation
Certificates of Analysis report measurements taken on a specific lot at the time of release. They describe chemical identity and purity attributes. They do not constitute a representation of safety, efficacy or suitability for any purpose, and they do not describe the material’s condition after it has left our control.
We retain lot records and make certificates available for the lots we release.
5. Pricing and availability
Prices are quoted in United States dollars and may change without notice. We may correct pricing errors, and we may decline or cancel any order, including after confirmation, with a full refund.
Availability is not guaranteed until an order is confirmed.
6. Shipping and risk
Risk passes on delivery to the address supplied. Shipping, damage claims and returns are governed by our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from any order is limited to the purchase price of the materials in that order.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of experimental results, or costs of substitute materials.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use, handling, storage, disposal or onward supply of materials purchased from us, and from any breach of the certifications in section 3.
9. Intellectual property
Site content, including monographs, comparisons and journal articles, is our property and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Reasonable citation with attribution is permitted and welcome.
10. Compliance
You are responsible for compliance with all laws applicable at your location, including import requirements, controlled-substance law and institutional policy. We supply only where these materials may lawfully be supplied for laboratory research use.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that order.
